Tomorrow it April the first, or April Fools' Day and the joke is DEFINITELY on me. Am I the only one wondering where the time has gone? This week’s post is extremely brief because I have to get some serious work done on many aspects of this project. Among the list of items, I have to get back on the road. As a result, I am knee deep in paper (forgive me trees) and internet searches. With that being said, today, I share my draft itinerary for the summer. This trip is over ambitious, perhaps. Ultimately, my goal is to get to all of the states, but my motivation for this particular trip is the destination of Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota. In the beginning of determining the destination and route for this trip I realized that I should get footage of places visited by the Grahams captured on their home video. This would be the most direct visual clue that I have in fact visited a place that they had once traveled.
One of the many things I am trying to determine is what makes the most sense for my dollars and time. A few weeks ago, flying directly to Mt. Rushmore didn’t seem cost effective and not driving is not the point of this journey. Either way, it is all a work in progress. Not to mention, I still need to make sure this passes with Thomas!!!!
